SENIOR STAGE MANAGER
Responsible to: Company Manager
Key relationships: Producers, General Manager, Directors, Rehearsal Directors, Performers, Deputy Stage Managers, Assistant Stage Managers, Front of House Stewards, Front of House Manager, Production Managers, Technical Directors & Talent Development Department
Salary: Up to £750 per week depending on experience
Contract: Fixed-term contract, one year
Punchdrunk is seeking an experienced and confident Senior Stage Manager to run the floor and effectively lead the Stage Management team on our new project The Burnt City. The Senior Stage Manager will work with the Producing and Creative teams to provide excellent stage management of the show and performers, and line management of the stage management team, along with day-to-day administrative support, generating show reports, and contributing to weekly production meetings. They should possess outstanding organisational skills, with the ability to maintain a calm and positive attitude in the busy working environment of a large-scale international production.
The Senior Stage Manager will be the focal point around which all communications for daily running of the show gather, feeding into other departments including light, sound, costume and design. They will be able to project manage alongside rehearsal directors the realisation of rehearsal schedules and stand-alone one-off events as well as the full time show schedule. The Senior Stage Manager will have experience and knowledge of the working practices of a large scale immersive show, and its attendant health and safety procedures.
